HOF garners praise

Wednesday, October 21, 2009

Two of Chicago's foremost literary bloggers have given the Chicago Literary Hall of Fame project two resounding thumbs up.

"The Hall is an endeavor to be proud of..." wrote Robert Duffer for Chicago Literary Scene Examiner. Read the full article here.

Pete Anderson, who writes the Pete Lit blog, agreed. "This is a very welcomed development," Anderson wrote.

Anderson isn't an official selector but weighed in with his own picks for the inaugural first class.  His choices for induction: Nelson Algren, Gwendolyn Brooks, Saul Bellow, Studs Terkel, Mike Royko and Carl Sandburg. See the living authors he would select for future inductions here.
